Fighting
- Shoot, move, communicate
- Slow down, listen, scheme
- Link up with friendlies. Apes together strong
- Operate in pairs as much as possible
- Call out contacts with The Three D's (see The Three D's)
- Survive first then win the gunfight. Don't try to stand and deliver (see Basic react to effective fire drill)
- Do the tutorial
- Don't snipe, assault
- Flank. If an element is already directly assaulting, execute a flank and harvest souls (see The Four Fs)
- Use your smoke (see Some common uses for smoke)
- Use Squad comms for chatting, Platoon comms for business
- Use the stances, get low and take cover
- Settings - Controls, don't guess, look shit up. Keybindings for mods will be in here as well
- Prior to an assault or defence, deploy a radio backpack to allow friendlies to spawn
- Broken windows that are large enough can be vaulted through
- Half of tactics is dirt. Read the ground and use it to provide cover and concealment for your movement
- A bayonet and some persistance can take down a fence
- Be aware of the Linear Danger Area (LDA) and co-ordinate with friendlies to cross safely. These can be
roads or clearings
Loadout
- Pack Light, only carry one weapon, 40 kg at the most. Anything beyond that and you move way too slow
- You only need 10 mags and 3 frags
- Friendly HQ tents have ammo for your factions standard rifle and pistol
- Salvage frags from the enemy
- Helmet and Armor are worth the weight, can be the difference between getting wasted and just knocked out
- Flares and flashlights are more fun for night fighting than NVG ever will be
- Pack Light, seriously, spend a match running and gunning with a 30 kg loadout to see for yourself
- 4 Bandages, 2 morphine, 1 saline, 1 tourniquet. Salvage meds from the enemy as you go
- Tracer ammo can set fire to vehicles
- Carry 40mm HE in your vest, and flares in your pants. Reload will be whatever is in the vest first. This way you
don't accidently fire a flare when you wanted HE - Reload preference order: Vest > Backpack > Shirt > Pants
- Pack Light, seriously, being able to sprint is worth more than carrying thirty mags
Vehicle
- Do not drive into hostile objectives, stop 500 meters out and assault on foot
- Only fill the fuel to 70%, this may help prevent fire
- Vehicles will sometimes be called "vics"
- Vehicles are normally best used to engage at range, up close they are a deathtrap
The Four Fs
- Find
- Fix
- Flank
- Finish
"Create dilemmas, not problems"

Some common uses for smoke
- Crossing streets or openings
- Breaking contact and fucking off (aka pop smoke)
- Covering downed friendlies so they can be grabbed and extracted
- Tossed into houses occupied by the enemy because they hate that
- Marking friendly or hostile location
- Marking limit of advance or information to shift fire
The Three D's
- Direction Which way
- Distance How far
- Description What is it and or where is it
Example:
"contact north, far, 3 bad guys just went into that gully by the barn"
Even in the simplest form the data is invaluable to anyone around you:
"contact east, close"
Basic react to effective fire drill
- Double tap in the direction of the contact
- Dash a few steps
- Down crawl to cover
- Fire engage the enemy
- Communicate the enemy position
