1CMBG Loadout Notes, by dent

TL;DR stuff to have on you

Here is the minimum amount to read, have this stuff on you.

Equipment

  • Map
  • Compass
  • Entrenching tool
  • Camouflage face cream
  • Zip cuffs x 3
  • Flashlight
  • Jacket Patches
  • AN/PRC-152 single band radio
  • Sandbags x 5

Medical

  • Saline x 1
  • Morphine x 2
  • Ammonium Carbonate x 2 (aka "salts")
  • Phenylephrine x 2 (aka "phen")
  • Naloxone x 2 (aka "narcan")
  • Bandages x 8
  • Tourniquet x 1

Binoculars are normally reserved for leadership unless specifically called for by a role. Use your rifle optics for looking around and save yourself a kg of weight.

Munitions are defined by role and weapon system, but have some white smoke on your loadout.

  • Rifle ammo is limited to 5 + 1
  • Sidearm ammo is limited to 2 + 1
  • C9 ammo is limited to 2 + 1
  • Frag Grenade x 3
  • White Smoke x 3 (smoke is always useful, feel free to pack a few more)

Patches

Jacket patches

Order to place in Jacket:

  • Flag
  • IFF left
  • Trade
  • 3CID
  • 1CMBG
  • Rank

The Rank epaulette here is on the Virtus STV - CADPAT MT vest.

Loadout concept

If you are still reading I will now describe the loadout system I am using.

Concept here is base gear is in the Jacket, Pants, and Webbing.

Vest and Backpack slots are left open for mission specific gear.

Personally what I have done is setup riflemen loadouts in TW and MT, with a Gunner webbing on both. This way I can retool the rifleman loadout into a Gunner or Grenadier loadout very quickly. This tweaked can be saved in one of the free slots for the day, but doesn't need to kept longer than that.

  • If a specific pack is needed the Backpack slot is free
  • If additional storage is needed the Vest slot is free
