Reforger Rifle Section
Reforger Series
Here I present a coherent, simplified plan for a Rifle section in Arma Reforger loosely inspired by CAF doctrine.
This Document is very much a work in progress and is intended for Conflict or Headquarters Conflict, but applies to any gun fight.
Team colors are intended for Coalition Squad Interface, or similar UI mods.
Section Roles
IC / 2IC
Leaders lead.
- Command your element and execute Commanders intent
- Communicate with higher
- 2IC be prepared to step up and run the entire section if the IC is downed or away
- Carry the backpack radio to enable respawns
Rifleman / Grenadier
Fighters fight.
- Execute on tasking from leadership
- Carry a box of SAW ammo
- Carry a shovel and be prepared to use it
- Carry 6 or 10 sandbags
Rifleman:
- Carry the Rifle and Light Anti-tank
Grenadier:
- Rifle with 40mm launcher instead of a LAW
- Ballpark 15 40mm, do not overload on weight, stash extra in the section vics
SAW Gunner
Gunners Gun.
- Carry the selected machine gun and operate in support of your element
- Gunners do not dig, Gunners keep the gun up and maintain security

Section Movement
Movement orders would be given to either:
- The entire section: "Section prepare to advance"
- An assault group: "Group 2 pop smoke and flank right"
- A fireteam: "Charlie take the trench"
Try and avoid breaking up a fireteam.
Using these elements employ Fire and Maneuver to close with and destroy the enemy.
Section vehicles
Section vics should usually carry:
- Wrenches
- Jerry can of fuel
- Some supply
- Light Anti-Tank
- Medical supplies (medkits no longer provide medical items)
- Sandbags
Option 1 - 2 trucks
Each Assault group would have a truck.
Have one of the Riflemen drive, never the IC or SAW Gunner.
Park the trucks outside of the fight and leave them. Have the entire section fight on foot.
Option 2 - LAV 25 / BTR / or similar (APC)
The 2IC fireteam becomes the LAV crew.
The A/B/D teams become an oversize assault group.
An option here would be to keep the Delta fireteam with Charlie and have them dismount and provide local security for the vic.
Keep the Charlie team mounted at all times, and use the APC as supporting fire at range.
Avoid having the APC engage at close range.
